Customer comments on this hotel in Sal

Had a fab holiday in Cape Verde – great food and great weather – sad to be back at work today. The hotel was basic but very clean and very friendly staff – the rooms were small but fine for us - cleaned everyday.  The food was basic but ok as it was included in the price (so we mainly ate breakfast there, we had lunch once and dinner once). Comments

The hotel was started in 1991 to house the Aeroflot airline crews who were flying in to Sal en route to Cuba. Occasionally these crews would meet their South African counterparts who were staying at the west of Santa Maria in what is now the Morabessa. In 2001 Aeroflot ceased its stop overs at Sal. The hotel is very well positioned to the East of Santa Maria in a quieter area than the centre or West. It is functional but a little austere. For water sports enthusiasts on holiday, everything is close at hand. Wind surfing on the sandy beach is run by the world wave champion Josh Angullo with his own make of boards. For those looking for a beach holiday, the sunbeds are laid out by the swimming pool and you can walk from the hotel grounds directly onto a soft sandy beach. This hotel should suit those looking for excellent windsurfing or diving holiday or for a reasonably priced hotel right on the beach.
